Don’t be afraid to take the road less travelled. 🌵🌞✨ Don’t feel pressured to follow the footsteps someone else laid out for you. You may not know where you end up, and that’s okay. Actually, that’s even more than okay; it’s beautiful. That’s the beauty of life - embracing the uncertainty of our existence with all her flaws, fears & opportunities, and believing that you can make whatever your heart desires out of it. Seeking stability in life is just wishing an illusion would be real.
These past months have been crazy for me - what’s even my home address at this point? However, what I’ve come to understand is that travelling will never feel like a lost opportunity. It sounds like such a cliché but for some odd reason living out of suitcases and not knowing where you are really headed, teaches you a LOT about yourself. It’s when you cannot rely on anyone else that you find the endless strength you have within. Ending my lease in DC and moving out of my beloved studio apartment seemed like such a scary step, but looking back I am so happy that I did it. From Washington DC to LA, to Joshua Tree, to San Diego - if you would’ve asked me a few months ago if I saw myself doing that I would’ve given you a big fat no. And now I’m packing my suitcase again and I’m heading to the Netherlands tomorrow & later on Russia. I can’t wait! #wanderlustwithlilylike
Hair color by the amazing @colorbyjord (best hair colorist/magician in DMV) & extensions by my lovely @beautenest (LOVE these extensions)
I tailor almost all my trousers to fit a certain way - it helps elongate my 5’2 frame (I know, I’m a shorty!! 💁🏻♀️) I always ask to taper from the knee down and to shorten the hem. It’s a bit of an investment but it’s worth it because I realized I get a lot more wear out of my tailored clothes. It feels made for me and makes it easy for me to throw something on with the confidence that it’ll look great with anything else in my closet😊
